VIRTUAL LIBRARY

A Virtual Library is a collection of resources available on one or more computer systems, where a single interface or entry point to the collections is provided. Learn more in: Role of Digital Libraries in the Present Era: Challenges and Issues.

A Virtual Library provides remote (on-line or CD-ROM-based) access to a variety of national and international content (e.g. curricula, learning materials, books, journals, magazines, newspapers), services traditionally offered by libraries and other information sources. The Electronic Library System provides the latest functions as well as allowing books to be displayed on screen as if they were printed books. The system makes advances in retrieving books and papers.
